From what I understand plants are the supreme victor at solar conversion into usable energy such as carbohydrates which humans run on very efficiently, and the food scraps can be used to make biogas and run a combustion engine generator. Or simply burnt and used for cooking or distilling water. Simply chop scraps finely or even blend them then put in a large container like a 50 plastic barrel add water or something and attach a hose on top and collect that or burn it or refine it somehow into a liquid for engines.

The other best method I know if is using a solar panel and dc pump to pump water uphill toa resevoir then use a water ac hydroelectric generator and charge batteriez. Or flip it on when uwant power, also have rain fill the resevoir.
